Coming Together and Making A Difference in Our Community

We strive to further the museum’s mission of uplifting and supporting African American traditions, history, and culture, by offering continued volunteer service, financial support, and collaboration on programs and events throughout the year. Now in our second decade, GWC Ambassadors have a renewed commitment to engage the community at large, promoting both the legacy and future of artwork created by African Americans. GWCA members are invited to private tours, receptions and lectures by renowned artists, curators, and historians. Membership dues and other fund raising proceeds go toward supporting the initiatives of African or African American art at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center and will help make new programs possible.
