Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how GWCA (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and handles data when we use SocialFeeds (the “Application”). The Application is designed solely to connect to our authorized Facebook Page(s) via Meta’s Graph API to publish and sync content directly to our WordPress website (austingwca.org).

2. Information We Access and Collect

Our Application only requests the minimal permissions necessary to read and publish content to your connected WordPress site.

  • Meta / Facebook Platform Data:

    • Page Access Tokens & IDs: To authenticate API requests and identify the authorized Facebook Page(s).

    • Page Content: Post text, images, video links, timestamps, and public metadata published on your connected Facebook Page.

    • Basic Profile Data: Basic account identifier information required by Meta Graph API authentication.

  • WordPress Data:

    • Site administrator credentials or API keys necessary to establish the bridge between the Facebook API and your WordPress installation.

We do not collect personal consumer data, personal browsing history, private messages, financial data, or sensitive personal information.

3. How We Use the Data

All retrieved data is used strictly to operate the core functionality of the Application:

  • Fetching updates and posts from your connected Facebook Page.

  • Formatting and publishing those posts as draft or live entries on our WordPress site.

  • Maintaining automated synchronization and error logging between Meta and WordPress.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or share your Facebook data or WordPress content with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

  • Storage: Access tokens and synced post content are stored securely within your own WordPress database and hosting environment.

  • Security: We use standard encryption protocols (such as HTTPS/SSL) during data transit between Meta’s APIs and your WordPress server.

  • Retention: Data remains stored only as long as you maintain the published content on your WordPress site or until you disconnect the Application. We do not maintain separate off-site databases holding your Facebook content.

5. Third-Party Services

This Application interacts with:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook): Subject to Meta’s Data Policy.

  • WordPress / Your Web Host: Subject to your hosting provider’s security and privacy protocols.

6. Data Deletion and Revocation (User Data Deletion Instructions)

You maintain full control over the data accessed by this Application:

  • Revoking App Access: You can disconnect or revoke the Application’s permissions at any time via your Facebook account settings under Settings & Privacy > Settings > Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites).

  • Deleting Stored Data: To delete content synced to WordPress, remove the posts directly from your WordPress dashboard or uninstall the integration plugin/script.

  • Manual Deletion Requests: You can request the permanent removal of any stored authentication tokens or log data by emailing gwca@austingwca.org. All requests will be processed within [e.g., 30 days].

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
